So many things happened...

2 days after I wrote the last post, I delivered my baby boy. It wasn't suppose to be a hard labor, however, because some medical mistakes, my baby was born without life. It was necessary CPR and ventilator. We passed almost 10 days hospitalized. I had a hard time breastfeeading him because of the shape of my breast and also had high blood pressure for a while after he was born.

Even though it looks like bad news, we are actually doing completely fine. He is a healthy baby with no sequelae and despising my anxiety I'm good too.

When I was pregnant I even thought about giving up on lolita fashion. I was thinking on giving up on lots of things, because I was felling so sick that I had no energy to do things I used to enjoy.

After Oliver was born, I gain some kilograms and my shoes number changed and I basically lost the most of my lolita clothes and shoes. I didn't had a lot of things indeed. My wardrobe was composed of 3 jsk and 3 skirts. I'm not couting accessories.

The only piece that still fits on me is the Rotten Strawberry Print Ruffle Hemline jsk. It's pretty, love it . I've sold the 2 jsk that didn't fit anymore. I intend to sale the skirts too, but I didn't do anything about it yet.

Shoes: lost all

I used to have only one petticoat. It was white and was A-line already (it was old). It was another thing that didn't fit anymore.

The good new is if I want to make a "Wardrobe" session in here, it's easy to start, isn't it?

Abou the MNL (I was planning my outfit and shared that here), I didn't go. I wouldn't be able to. I would go alone, any smell would make me feel sick... not a good trip for a pregnant. By the way, the shoes wouldn't fit back then, because my feet were really swollen.

This is a small summary of my life since my last post here.

Updates!

Hello! There is a while since I last appeared here. There are so many things to say... I don't even know from where to start.

I'm pregnant, as you can see. My first trimester was tough. Really, really tough. April and May was the worst part to me. I threw up every day from 14th April to 25th May. Every. Day. Ok, to be fair, there were three days I didn't throw up. I've lost almost 15% of my weight. I had no choice but giving up on doing lots of things.

After I stopped feelling sick every day, other things happened. I don't wanna talk about them all, this post would become huge. I intend to make a video talking about it, but it will be in Portuguese.

Ok, those things are on the past. But since I had to prioritize, I didn't give so many attetion to this place.

I just wanna let you know I'm doing fine, I'm alive and I might share a video here talking about my experience with pregnancy.

By the way, my baby boy is still in the oven.

Just a complain

I came here today just to register my complain: I hate the fact that my vacation had its end and my new routine doesn't allow me to do the things I like the most as before.

I was playing the game Poupée Girl every and each day. I was reading more and studying Japanese and now I have to figure out a routine that works with my job schedule.

I wanna be a princess with no obligation but be cute and happy. I wanna have a tea cup, do my embroider and practice my sewing skills. And now I have to think on a way to do at least one thing I like. That's all, folks.

Non-lolita things the fashion brought to my life ♡

Dreamstime

Lolita fashion brought to my life more than just cute clothes, full of lace and frills. During my process learning more about lolita, about the sub styles and trying to find myself inside this universe, I've found other things that became an important part of my life. They are not thousand of things, but they definitely turn on treasure ones on my rotine and life.

 Skincare

Before lolita fashion, I almost didn't have a skincare routine. I basically would wash my face with the same soap I would use on my body and I would just do it when I shower (what means at least once per day).

Teenager come and with it the black heads and pimples, and until today I have some marks scars from that time. Sometimes I would buy a soap for skins with acne, but I wouldn't use it how I was supposed to neither search to see if it was the ideal to my skin type. By the way, I didn't even know how to describe my own skin type. If you asked, I would go like "oily and with acne".

Nowadays, I follow a skincare routine that is pleasurable to me. My skin is ridiculously better. I know a lot about products to my skin type. Oh, and for the ones who want to know: my skin is oily at hot season and combination at cold and dry season, I have enlarged pores, sensitive skin, and acne prone, especially on U zone.

What made me change the relationship with my skin was the things that I used to read at Reino de Morango, by Ichigo. She would always post reviews from different products, what led me to learn about and love skincare.

 Embroidery

On my family, the women are skilled. They know how to cook, to sew, to embroider, to crochet, to knit, to paint on fabric... I had all the incentives to be like that. But I wasn't. I embroidered only one hand towel when I was 10, and I tried some classes of acrylic paint on fabric and that was all.

The funny fact is that I did consider some of those stuffs relaxing. However, I would just do whatever but that.

And as much as I read about Lolita Fashion, the more I've found about different things and embroidery was a hobby for many Lolitas back then. I gave it a second shot and I have no regrets until now.

To embroider relaxing me and connect me with now. By the way, I love to look for new stitches on internet. I wish I could do that more often, but the little I already can do it makes me happy.

To want to be surrounded by cute stuffs

Before Lolita, I didn't really care about what I had around me. I did have some cute things, because it was attractive to me, but it would be small things such as pencils or stickers. I was poor (I still am) and I'd rather invest my money just in the basics. It is easy to buy lots of small and cheap stuffs than the an expensive one.

Nowadays, I think different. I work and can afford some things I would like to have back then. So I prefer do not buy small and pretty things that I don't really want and save money for the big ones that I really want and are more expensive.

 To appreciate a simple life

When we think about the clothes full lace, frills, detailed prints, the last word that came to mind is simplicity. Even though the accessories are showy, paradoxically Lolita Fashion reminds me about the simple life.

For those who like to live the Lolita lifestyle, there is an appreciation of crafts, afternoon tea, exchange write hand letters, to have a metting with friends to talk and enjoy the moment. We love burando, but generally we also want to handmade an accessory, sew something, buy from a local seller.

Is there something more simple than wearing your favorite clothes, making a tea, and reading a book? To me, there isn't.

I could keep writing about this topic, remembering how many other different things Lolita brought to my life besides clothes, however this post would be giant. So, I'll end it with a question: what did lolita bring to your life that is no directly related with clothes?

Wearing to vote 13

Hello, how are you doing? Brazil is in election period, and unfortunately we are having a second round. I wish it was resolved at the first one, so I wouldn't have to go again during a lazy Sunday and take a long line to vote. During the first round the sun was really strong. Yeah, I know, I need a parasol.

I wish Lula win this election. Brazil is in need of someone but the current president.

I felt really sad when I saw the results of first round because a bit more than 51 million of Brazilians voted to the current president. Even with all scandals involving his name

I'm a bit scared of wearing red during election since the opposition is attacking people that support the political party PT. They are even m*rdering those people.

Let's see how it goes.

PS: In the end, I didn't take a picture of my outfit. I might wear it again, so I can show more than just my face.

A goal for 2022

Link unknown

Lolita fashion is a hobby that demands money, and if you're Brazilian and have remaining money, you're a privileged. Since I'm not part of this special group, I take some time to buy a new item. A really long time.

I've had my ups and downs with fashion, and I realized I have almost no accessories, which shocked me. I've decided to set a goal for this year: add at least one accessory to my lolita wardrobe. It doesn't matter if it will be made by me or bought. I'd like to dedicate myself to small and delicate details that compose this fashion so loved by me.

I know, it's not new year to set a new year goal, but I did it anyway. That's all, folks.
